Wildfox Couture’s Spring 2013!!!

The new Wildfox Couture spring/summer 2013 campaign perfectly captures the essence of the free-spirited daring woman of the ‘90s. American vintage-inspired women’s knitwear brand WildFox Couture grew its brand by combining great styles and targeting the celebrity and trendsetter demographics. Now, the famous L.A. brand goes back to the time, when strong-willed girls made a real revolution in the fashion world, and releases a new special “Clueless” collection that pays tribute to Heckerling’s Clueless, arguably greatest masterpiece of the ‘90s. WildFox Couture was brought into this world by childhood friends Emily Faulstich and Kimberly Gordon, who were inspired by sleepovers, fairies, vintage t-shirts and most importantly their friendship. Talking about the stunning Wildfox Couture spring/summer 2013 collection, designer Kimberley Gordon describes:
I have always wanted to express something creatively that is more than just fashion, it’s a feeling, a lifestyle, it’s about being a girl. It’s capturing a moment. I think I felt it first when I was about 12 around when Clueless came out and I was so in love with the characters, I didn’t just love the clothes, I loved the girls who wore the clothes – which made me want to wear them even more.”
The Wildfox Couture Clueless spring/summer 2013 campaign aimed to bring out the true nature of the nineties where free-spirited schoolgirls simply woke-up and threw something on in the morning and went out feeling beautiful and living their life. Through fantastic design, styling, and more important catchy phrases such as ‘As If,’ ‘Totally Bogus,’ and ‘I’d Rather Be Shopping’, Kimberly & Emily were able to bring us unique tees, sweatshirts, and rompers that all fathers would dread. Additional patterns such as watermelon, sunflower and ice cream cone prints also come to bring out the exciting tones of inspiration gained from the famous “Clueless” movie. Wildfox Designer Kimberly Gordan was able to bring us Grunge Girl Dresses, Festival Tanks, ‘90s Valley Girl Maxi Dresses, preppy blazers, retro swimsuits, plaid shirts, ripped jeans, over-the-knee socks and bright mini-skirts with perfect detailing and cuts.
